Eri Yagi

Art Collaboration Kyoto 2025

422 Iwakura Osagicho, Sakyo Ward
Kyoto, 606-0001, Japan

November 14 - 16, 2025

Drawing on the tradition of classical graphic traditions, Japanese folklore, patterns, and food, Yagi Eri creates meticulously crafted works on panel with graphite and watercolor. While the customs of eating and the dinner table are central to her universe, the world she depicts is as opulently haunted by creatures from Japanese folklore as it is by fragmented narratives. It is at once strange, unsettling and beautiful.

Eri Yagi (b. 1994, Okinawa, Japan) lives and works in Tokyo, Japan. Recent solo exhibition includes The Half-fishman’s Table (半魚人のテーブル), Gallery Blue 3143, Tokyo, 2024. Recent group exhibition includes Watercolours, Chapter III, XYZ collective, Tokyo, 2023.
